49 – This little skill will save you so much time

This little skill is one of the most important skills to master when trying be successful in your life and your business. It’s not the easiest thing to recognise when it’s happening, it can be sneaky AF but when you have the awareness around what your quitting looks like it can change the game.

Quitting or giving up on yourself can happen in stages… let’s have a look at each stage.

  1. Procrastination

Yep, it all starts with the P word. Procrastination can be a normal part of your day but when it drags out to 2-3 hours then you may want to consider if you are in need of stress relief, gaining some clarity on what you’re doing or are you in fear of the outcome?

  1. Working too hard

Taking care of yourself throughout your work day is important to stop things from escalating to burnout. Taking breaks, eating at set times to lift your energy, finishing and switching off when you said you will.

  1. Burnout

What causes burnout? Are you stressed being stressed? Busy being busy? This is where you need to recognize where you need to set some boundaries for your time and self care. Are the tasks you’re doing constantly depleting your energy or going against your values?

  1. Quitting & giving up

Are you delving into overwhelm and confusion?  When you can become aware of the stages you go through before you give up on yourself it will help you know when to change something before you give up. Are you putting things off? Feeling tired or sick? It’s so fascinating when you can uncover your patter for quitting so you know how to handle it each time you start giving up on yourself.

48 – Are these 3 words killing your dreams?

How can these three little words keep us so stuck, unresourceful and playing small, and we don’t even realise it?

Yet, we are often using them in so many contexts, and the worst part is we actually believe them.

  • I don’t know
  • I don’t know if I can afford that
  • I don’t know how
  • I don’t have the skills
  • I don’t have enough time

Tony Robbins once said, “It’s not the lack of resources, its your lack of resourcefulness that stops you”

Combating the “I don’t know” scenario, can be tricky. And it’s all about changing your thinking, from below the line to above the line thinking.

Understanding what drives you

  • Who needs you on top of your game?
  • What reasons keep you trying again? Why do you want to be successful in the first place?
  • Targets, achievements, accolades, supporting others,

Recognising and getting out of an un-resourceful state.

  • Change your physical and emotional state
  • Get curious
  • Ask better questions
  • Change your thinking

Understand and recognise what will throw you off your game and work out how to effectively deal with it ahead of time.

  • Lack of sleep
  • Lack of energy
  • Reading reviews, negative comments
  • Listening to other peoples opinions
  • Reacting to everyday negative situtations
  • Not planning your day/work

47 – Collaboration – The top things to consider when collaborating to grow your business

After the Collab Excursion I have been talking to a lot of my clients about the benefits of collaborating and the things to consider before, during and after collaboration. So I thought I would do a little podcast to showcase some effective ways to use collaboration in your business, what to consider before, during and after, how to reach out to people to collaborate with them.

Why use collaboration?

Reach new audiences

Add value to your existing audience

Help you market your offer, program or product

What to consider before:

What are my values? Consider someone who will align with your values

What is important to my audience and how can I add value here?

What do they need that I don’t offer?

Making sure the person I’m collaborating with is offering something different, so it doesn’t confuse my audience.

What benefit will there be for the person I’m collaborating with.

What expectations or guidelines do I need to outline before we collaborate?

What to consider during:

As much as we are collaborating to add value to your audience, making sure you also get something out of it.

Mutual collaboration – Supporting each other

We both hold up our end of the bargin

What the expectations are from each party.

What to consider After:

How to maximise the partnership.

How to further support each other – always building relationships.

What are some ways to collaborate?

  • FB Lives/ Instagram Lives
  • Guest blogging
  • Podcast Interviews
  • YouTube interviews
  • Pre-Launch hype – interviews
  • Guest speaking at events
  • Instagram take overs
  • Partnering in events
  • Retreats
  • Workshops
  • Gifting – Sway bags/giveaways
  • Joint Ventures – partnering together on a joint program/offering

46 – Are you starting your day on your terms?

Recently I have been neglecting my morning routine as the weather has gotten colder and my days have gotten busier, and I have recognized the impact it has had on my days. So today I want to share the ways I set up my day for abundance and mindfulness to lift my energy and my vibration.

Are you starting your day on your terms? Are you reacting to others, to emails, social media and in turn, reacting to life in a not so positive way?

Try starting your day out on your terms and set up your day with a positive intention. I have tried these 5 things to improve my mornings, which have improved my days.

First thoughts of the day: Using empowering words to start the day off right – “Today is going to be amazing!”

Setting an intention: Taking 5 minutes out, maybe with a cup of tea or coffee to set an intention for how you want to feel for the day.

Mindfulness practice: Some form of mindfulness, meaning any of the below, or practicing meditation.

Move: Move your body in some way – whether that be stretching, yoga, pilates, a walk or a gym session.

Feeding your soul & body with the right foods for you: Choosing foods to empower and energise you.

Morning Automation: Decide the night before what you will have for breakfast, how you will start your day and what you will wear to keep the reserves of dopamine for the more important decisions in your  day.

Life Script – Change your mindset from scarcity to abundance. Be grateful now for what you have, and what you will receive in the future. Use inflection and powerful energy and tell the universe what you want for your life now.

Here are a few of the things I mentioned that enhance my mornings.

45 – The Power of saying No

Podcast Episode 45 – Is all about the power of saying no. Do you struggle with saying no?

Feel the need to please and avoid confrontation?

Why do some people find it easy to say no and others struggle?

Let’s uncover why we feel the need to say yes and find new ways to say no.

Every opportunity to say no is really an opportunity to say yes to something else.

Disease to Please – Fear of rejection and need for external love and validation

Struggling to say no – Dealing with fear of judgement, repercussions and fear of not being loved. Yet, when you actually start saying no, people will respect your time and respect you for not always saying yes.

Ideally, we need to realign with a our values, decide what is important to  us and recognise what we are saying yes to us costing us time for what is really important.

If you don’t know what your values are, it might be time to spend some time writing down what is important in your life and deciding ahead of time how you plan to say no to other things, so you can start putting yourself and what is important first.

Saying no takes practice and is owning your power, standing your ground and holding your values to a higher standard. Once we decide to hold our values at a higher stand, we can learn to say no without apologizing, making excuses or being vague.

Once we start saying no, and open up space for new things, the universe will support your dreams even more.

43 – Dealing with Uncertainty

When life throws us a curve ball and we spiral out of control, stressed about what to do next – who do we deal with it?

Uncertainty can come in times of a relationship breakdown, change of job or career, dealing with an unexpected change and can leave us stressed, worried and anxious.

Today’s podcast is all about dealing with uncertainty and learning healthy ways to move through it.

Here are my steps for how to deal with uncertainty:

  • Acceptance – the circumstances are not the thing causing your pain and stress
  • Letting go of the fear of the unknown
  • Letting go of your attachment to the outcome
  • Where is your attention? Time to shift your focus and flip your mindset
  • What can you learn from this? Is this an opportunity for growth?
  • Seek out play and let the universe worry about it
  • Be still & trust that you are exactly where you’re meant to be
  • Relinquish control and just trust

41 – How your words shape your experience

Podcast Episode 41- How your words shape your experience

Words can inspire. And words can destroy. Choose your words well. – Robin Sharma

How do you respond when someone asks you – “How are you?”

The way we describe how we feel reinforces the feeling and can often keep us experiencing life at a low level of enjoyment.

Simply by changing our habitual words that we use every day, we can change the way we feel, act and remember life.

What are your autopilot words and are they of low energy or high energy? Could you be choosing more empowering words to life you up?

What words can you choose to eliminate and what words could you choose instead that could empower your experience and lift your emotional response to everyday situations.

I trust that today’s episode lifts you up, encourages you to choose an empowering experience that brings joy and light to your life.

40- Top 5 things all Entrepreneurs Master!

Want to be a successful entrepreneur?

Over all the successful people I have interviewed I believe there are 5 important things all entrepreneurs master to become successful!  Here’s my take on the Top 5!

  • Energy – without access to energy we wouldn’t be able to put in the hard work and long hours to be successful. So where do they get their energy and drive?
  • GRIT – yes resilience is essential! All successful entrepreneurs find the courage and tenacity to continue to get back up after being rejected and knocked down. They also have a unique relation ship with fear.
  • Reinvention & Innovation – They adopt a beginners mindset and are always striving for constant and never ending improvement. Always looking for ways to innovate and reinvent the way, the industry, their products and themselves.
  • Clarity – Clarity to know thy self, their outcome, their weaknesses and their steps to success.
  • Influence  – Influence encapsulates the thoughts of others and our thoughts of ourselves and how to influence them.

These are all skills we can learn and master. Where do you need to do the work?

Check out the Collab Excursion – A mid year business workshop with collaboration, coaching and give back!
